The White White Winter Manifestation Pt.1

Winter film roll No.1

Hello, Dear!

It's already March! However, the snow has not left Lithuania yet.

Yesterday I had a glamorous walk with a friend, which happens to be another film photography lover. We walked upon iced river banks, took pictures and talked life - photography - art and more. Consequently, we walked into the Little Gallery (lt. 'Mažoji Galerija'), looked at some wonderful paintings, ceramics and jewelry.

Our trip finalised surprisingly dramatically - in a local coffee shop, where we heard about the biggest drama surrounding cafe's business and owner's love life. Next to that, we were treated with home-made cakes and black coffee. What a dream, what a movie-like day.

(and justttt for life to to be more dramatic (or realistic?) - two minutes after we said goodbye and split our ways, I got a call from a kindergarten teacher, which said that my older A has a strong ear pain. 10 minutes of fast pace walk - and I was the caregiver, worrier and animator of the little one again.:)

However, I developed my first winter film! (The next one will be of the river banks - pictures I took yesterday- I guess they will be these two 'winter rolls' of mine). This first roll depicts two things: 1. Winter in Lithuania was extremely white and beautiful - true real winter wonderland. Thank you nature for that! 2. I was really busy up to my neck with little kiddos here at home, and did not have that much time for slow walks to observe AND photograph the beauty. Thus the nature pictures below are from my own street, from my balcony. I do have some other pictures of panoramic views we visited, but they did not turn out very well.

I will end this little winter post with a song of a magical artist I have discovered. I have heard of her before, however, this month, her music pierced my soul like never before.

Have you heard of Yebba? If you look at her most famous music on Spotify, you will find collaborations with Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Yves Tumor, Ed Sheeran and more. She is soulful, jazzy, yet very real and artistic at the same time.

Give her a listen <3

Much love,
A
